I was very excited to be invited to the opening of New York City's first Ladurée, one of my favorite French institutions and purveyor of the macaron!

Last year when a copy of Chanel's 31 Rue Cambon magazine landed in my hands, I shared it with you all - and it seemed only right to do the same when the Fall-Winter 2011 Edition found its way into my mailbox

The rain slowly tapping on my window, while I sit and write with a cup of coffee from Blue Bottle (I'm partial to their New Orleans and Kyoto cold brews), listening to Beirut's newest album, The Rip Tide, would probably be included as a short vignette in the movie about my life (directed by Woody Allen, naturally). I digress! I came home yesterday to these beautiful pink glittery lace-up oxfords, a gift from Parisian designer Patricia Blanchet.

On Sunday, I headed south to Other-Brooklyn (I say this fondly as a resident of Williamsburg) with my friends Emma & Basha to brunch at Tom's and a walk through the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens. BBG is one of my favorite places in New York City, and even though there was little in bloom, it was still a beautiful way to spend a Sunday afternoon!
